Educational Qualification for IFoS Exam

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely :

Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
Botany
Chemistry
Geology
Mathematics
Physics
Statistics
Zoology.

OR

A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India

Age Limit

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August.
( The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable according to different categories)

Examination Pattern

Indian forest service examination comprises three successive stages :

Stage-1
(Preliminary) Examination(MCQ Type) for the screening & selection of candidates for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination.

Stage-2
Mains Examination (Conventional type)for the selection of candidates for Interview.

Stage-3
Interview.
